“Streets on Screen: Re-imagining Hong Kong and Sheffield Through Cinema”
Workshops: 4 Thursday sessions, 6:30–8:30pm — 21 May, 18 June, 9 July, 30 July 2026
What you’ll do
- Watch a Hong Kong film (1980s–1990s)
- Identify “British traces” in the film
- Explore Sheffield and photograph everyday connections
- Share, discuss, and co-curate an exhibition
What you’ll gain
- Be part of a collaborative creative project
- Develop skills in observation, photography, and storytelling
- £70 honorarium (for participants who can join all sessions)

- Be featured in a short film documenting the project
- Take part in Festival of the Mind (Sheffield, Nov 2026)
